During his address at the Women's Day celebrations in Tshwane, Cde Makhura reminded those in attendance of the strides that the ANc-led Gauteng Government is making in the empowerment of women.
These include women being the majority of all bursary holders from the provincial government, the decision to have 50% of senior managers be women and the upskilling of over 28000 women with jobs and business expertise to lift them out of poverty and reliance on social grants.
