As a responsive and people centered leadership in Gauteng Legislature the ANC Caucus through the Chief Whip called for the adjournment of the sitting of the Gauteng Provincial Legislature in light of the precarious situation across Gauteng Province.

Caucus has resolved to deploy all ANC Members of the Provincial Legislature (MPLs) including the Executive led by Premier David Makhura to all Constituencies to lead efforts in restoring stability and peace in our communities.

We acknowledge genuine challenges faced by our communities  however there can be no justification for lawlessness. We call upon all communities including foreign nationals not to take the law into their own hand and instead work with law enforcement agencies.
We urge communities to isolate those who continue to perpetuate anarchy.  

We call for our communities to be aware of the peddling of fake news that seeks to create panic and cause further instability.
